Foretelling Peter's Temptation

Enemy #2 Satan: Luke 22:31-34

1. The temptation of Satan
31 “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat,

2. The intercession of Christ
32 but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.” Luke 22:32 (ESV)

34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Romans 8:34 (ESV)

3. The overconfidence of Peter
